I’m an LA-based musician, filmmaker, composer, writer and two-time Jeopardy! champion. I like to make stuff.

I’ve composed and arranged music for TV shows like “Documentary Now!,” “At Home with Amy Sedaris,” “The Daily Show with Jon Stewart,” and “The Colbert Report.” 

I was co-musical director and performed in the Tony award winning Broadway musical “Passing Strange,” both in the original stage production and in the film version directed by Spike Lee. 

I’ve also performed live and recorded with Elton John, Stevie Wonder, David Byrne, Ronnie Spector, Lou Reed, John Cale, Laurie Anderson, Aimee Mann, and Jonathan Coulton. Lately I’ve been playing with the Middle Aged Dad Jam Band featuring Ken Marino and David Wain.

In my spare time I enjoy compression socks, Civil War re-enactments, and erotic puppetry.
